Documentation in Word

To turn your Help project into (printed) documentation :

  1. Select the backstage (Ribbon > File) Publish page
  2. Press the Documentation in Word.
  3. Print the generated document.

After compilation completes, your newly created documentation opens for inspection.

Tip
The outline and style of the documentation that is generated is determined by a template called WordDocTemplate.dot located in the \templates sub folder of your help project. Any customizations you make there will automatically be picked up next time you generate a new version of the documentation.

Documentation in PDF

If you have Word 2007 or later installed you can use "Save As PDF" to get an excellent PDF version of your documentation. Alternatively, you can use any of the many PDF printers.
